This affinity-purified antibody was prepared from whole goat serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 817-830 of Human POLK (polymerase (DNA directed) kappa).

A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from human, chimpanzee and orangutan based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity with POLK protein from mouse is expected, as this sequence is highly homologous in human and mouse. Expect reactivity with multiple splice variants of this protein. Cross reactivity with POLK homologues from other sources has not been determined.

Immunohistochemistry: LS-B405 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B405 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.
