Description
G protein-coupled receptor 87 (GPR87) is a transmembrane receptor for lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). GPR87 is necessary for p53/TP53-dependent survival in response to DNA damage. In immunohistochemistry, GPR87 has highest membranous positivity in the tongue, esophagus, skin, pons and medulla in the brain, reproductive tissues and tonsils, with lower levels of expression in a few other locations throughout the body.
