Description
GPR80 (OXGR1) is a GPCR structurally close to the family of P2Y nucleotide receptors, and is the receptor for alpha-ketoglutarate. It acts exclusively through a G(q)-mediated pathway. In mice, knock-out of this gene results in ear inflammation and hearing loss, as well as cardiac hypertrophy.
