Recombinant Hepatitis B core antigen.
Specificity
Recognizes Hepatitis B virus core antigen (HBcAg), the highly immunogenic 21kD replicative form of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV), expressed by infected cells. Antibodies to HBcAg are produced by the host during and following an acute HBV infection and can be detected in chronic HBV carriers and patients recovered from HBV infection, usually persisting in the body for life.

Usage
ELISA: LS-C56250 is suitable for use in a sandwich ELISA in combination with LS-C56252. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.
