KLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide (C-SATVGPKAPSGGKKA) corresponding to aa121-135 of human histone H2A. X, with an N-Terminus cysteine added for conjugation purposes. The immunizing sequence has 13/15 identical amino acids in mouse. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Monkey, Rabbit (100%); Gibbon, Rat, Dog, Bovine (93%); Mouse, Hamster (87%); Bat (80%).

Recognizes human histone H2A. X, Mr 15kD. A band at Mr 100kD was also observed.

Usage
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Peptide Inhibition analysis. Western Blot Analysis: A 1:2000-1:10000 dilution of this lot detected histone H2A. X in acid-extracted proteins from HeLa cells. The antibody did not detect recombinant Histone H2A. Peptide Inhibition Analysis: 1 and 10 uM of the immunizing histone H2A. X peptide abolished detection of histone H2A. X by this lot in immunoblot analysis of HeLa acid extracts.
