Immunohistochemistry Services

Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

TCR Screening Services

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-Terminus of rat glycine receptor alpha 1 subunit.
Epitope
N-Terminus
Specificity
Recognizes an epitope within the N-terminal region (NT) of glycine receptor alpha 1 and alpha 2 subunits. Glycine receptors are members of the ligand-gated ion channel superfamily, which mediate fast inhibitory neurotransmission. The receptors are pentameric membrane proteins which form chloride channels. Binding of glycine to its receptor produces an increase in chloride conductance and membrane hyperpolarisation. Four genes encoding glycine receptor alpha subunits have been identified, together with a single beta polypeptide. Each subunit consists of a large extracellular N-terminal region, four transmembrane domains, and a large cytoplasmic domain.
Usage
Western Blot: LS-C43103 detects a band of approximately 48 kD in rat spinal cord lysates.
