Antigen Recognized in Species Human. Reactivity on Cultured Cell Lines Many, including CaCo-2, HaCaT, MCF-7. Recognizes desmoglein 2 present in low concentrations in all epithelia and in tumors derived therefrom as well as in heart muscle and dendritic reticulum cells of lymphatic follicles. In basal epithelial cells desmoglein 2 expression is generally very low. Polypeptide reacting: desmoglein 2 (1069aa; calculated mol. wt. 116760).

Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Immunohistochemistry (Cryostat): 1:10 with PBS, pH 7.4; Incubation: 1 hr at RT. Note: For better resolution on frozen sections preincubation (directly after fixation) with 0.05-0.2% Triton X-100 for 5-10 min, depending on tissue type, is recommended. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): After microwave treatment, dilute 1:10 with PBS, pH 7.4; Incubation: Overnight at 4?C.
