Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa164-177 of the human alpha T Catenin protein including an additional N-Terminus cysteine, coupled to KLH [C-VANKSDLQKTYQKL]. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Monkey (100%); Marmoset, Panda, Dog, Rabbit (93%); Mouse, Bovine (86%).

Specificity
Recognizes human alpha T Catenin. Epitope is located between residues 164-177. Does not cross-react with alpha E Catenin or alpha N Catenin.
Usage
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Immunofluorescence: Acetone-fixed cells. Immunocytochemistry: Methanol and paraformaldehyde-fixed cells, followed by permeabilization in 0.2% Triton X-100 for 2 min. Immunohistochemistry: 1:12.5-1:100; Avidin-biotinylated horseradish peroxidase complex (ABC) as detection reagent. Western Blot: 1:50-1:500.
