Recognizes an epitope of human C5 and C5a. Capable in inhibiting the binding of C5a to the C5a receptor through a competitive mechanism. Does not block the cleavage of C5 into C5a and C5b.

Usage
ELISA: Used as detection antibody (see J Immunol Methods. 1988 Jul 22;111(2):241-52.). Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate for 2 hours on nitrocellulose. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
