Recombinant full length human caspase-3 protein with an N-Terminus (His) 6 tag.

N-Terminus

Recognizes human caspase-3. In apoptotic cells, this antibody also detects 20kD and 18kD proteins which correspond to the processed forms of caspase-3. Following the induction of apoptosis and the appearance of these smaller bands, a concurrent reduction in the amount of the procaspase enzyme is noted on immunoblot analysis. A weak ~30kD band may be detected in some samples. This band is not caspase-3 as it is detected in MCF7 cell lysates which lack the caspase-3 protein. Species cross-reactivity: mouse, rat, bovine, canine, chicken, guinea pig, hamster, monkey, porcine, rabbit and yeast.

• Western blot (1 µg/ml)

Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot (ECL): 1 ug/ml. A band is seen at ~36kD. Positive control: HeLa Nuclear Extract.
