BMP5 antibody LS-C87270 is an unconjugated goat polyclonal antibody to BMP5 from human, bat, monkey and other species. Validated for Peptide-ELISA.
Human, Monkey, Bat, Rabbit
(tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Bovine, Horse, Pig, Chicken, Xenopus (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity)
- Peptide Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (1:2000)
BMP5 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-YKDRSNNRFENET from an internal region of human BMP5 (NP_066551.1). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Bat, Rabbit, Opossum (100%); Elephant, Bovine, Horse, Pig, Turkey, Chicken, Xenopus (92%); Rat, Panda, Dog (85%).
- Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C87270. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:2000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 28kD band in Human Heart, Prostate and Uterus lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 51.7kD according to NP_066551.1. The 28kD band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies / lysates? Have any further splice variants / modified forms been reported?
