Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
BAX, BCL2-associated X protein, Bcl2-L-4, Apoptosis regulator BAX, Bcl-2-like protein 4, BCL2L4
(tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Western blot (1:250)
BAX antibody was raised against a 19 residue synthetic peptide ELALDPVPQDASTKKLSEC based on the human Bax (residues 44-62), KLH coupled. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey (100%); Panda, Cat (89%); Sheep, Elephant, Dog, Bovine, Horse, Pig (84%).
Detects an ~22kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Bax on SDS-PAGE immunoblots. Additional bands of 40 and 42kD are present in all of these cell lysates and these bands are not inhibited by the relevant peptide. Species cross-reactivity: Human, rat, mouse, bovine, porcine, rabbit and monkey.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot (ECL): 1:250. Positive control: HeLa Cell Lysate.
PBS, 0.09% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Apoptosis plays a major role in normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells. Disruption of this process has been implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer. The Bcl-2 family of proteins is comprised of critical regulators of apoptosis that can be divided into two classes: those that inhibit apoptosis and those that promote cell death.
