Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

YWHAG / 14-3-3 Gamma antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to acetylated N-terminal of sheep 14-3-3 gamma.
N-Terminus
Recognizes the acetylated N-terminal of 14-3-3gamma, a member of the 14-3-3 family which consists of 30 kD proteins involved in multiple protein kinase signalling pathways, regulation of cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal structure, transcription, intracellular trafficking and targeting. Protein interactions with 14-3-3 show distinct preference for it's different isoforms and are regulated by phosphorylation of both 14-3-3 and the bound protein. 14-3-3gamma is thought to play an important role in muscle, being induced by growth factors in human vascular smooth muscle cells, and being expressed in skeletal and heart muscles. An example is the gamma isoform binds muscle-specific receptor tyrosine kinase regulating synaptic gene transmission. The gamma isoform binds amyloid beta-protein precursor intracellular domain fragment (AICD) and FE65, facilitating FE65-dependent gene transactivation. The binding of 14-3-3gamma to glial fibrillary acidic protein is important in the regulation of glial filaments. 14-3-3 gamma binds and may regulate CDK11 during the cell cycle and apoptosis. The gamma isoform is lowered in fetal Downs syndrome brains.
Western Blot: LS-C42373 detects a band of approximately 30kD in HEK293 cell lysates. Immunohistology: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.

About YWHAG / 14-3-3 Gamma

P61981 NM_012479 NP_036611.2

YWHAG Antibody, 14-3-3GAMMA Antibody, 14-3-3 gamma Antibody, 14-3-3 protein gamma Antibody, KCIP-1 Antibody

YWHAG / 14-3-3 Gamma belongs to the 14-3-3 family of proteins which mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved protein family is found in both plants and mammals, and this protein is 100% identical to the rat ortholog. It is induced by growth factors in human vascular smooth muscle cells, and is also highly expressed in skeletal and heart muscles, suggesting an important role for this protein in muscle tissue.
