  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Vitamin D Receptor / VDR antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminus of human VDR. MW of Antigen: 53kD. Epitope: C-terminal. Cellular Localization: Nuclear.
Recognizes human VDR.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2976 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2976 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. Western Blot: 2.5-5 ug/ml for 2 hrs at RT. Positive control: LNCaP cells.

PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About Vitamin D Receptor / VDR

P11473 NM_000376 NP_000367.1

VDR Antibody, NR1I1 Antibody, Vitamin D3 receptor Antibody, Vitamin D receptor Antibody

The vitamin D receptor, a NR1 Thyroid Hormone-Like Receptor, is activated by calcitriol, the active hormonal form of vitamin D. The activated receptor binds DNA at a specific vitamin D-responsive element and promotes transcription of vitamin D target genes such as osteocalcin, the most abundant noncollagenous protein in bone. The vitamin D receptor affects growth, bone formation, and female reproduction.

Anti-VDR antibody IHC staining of human small intestine. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B2976 concentration 5 ug/ml.
