  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

VIL1 / Villin antibody was raised against human Villin protein.
Recognizes human Villin.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2581 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2581 was determined to be 10 ug/ml. Positive control: Small intestine and kidney.

10 mM PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA, 15 mM sodium azide.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C

About VIL1 / Villin

VIL1 Antibody, D2S1471 Antibody, Villin Antibody, Villin 1 Antibody, Villin-1 Antibody, VIL Antibody

Epithelial cell-specific Ca2+-regulated actin-modifying protein that modulates the reorganization of microvillar actin filaments. Plays a role in the actin nucleation, actin filament bundle assembly, actin filament capping and severing. Binds phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) and lysophosphatidic acid (LPA); binds LPA with higher affinity than PIP2. Binding to LPA increases its phosphorylation by SRC and inhibits all actin-modifying activities.

Anti-VIL1 / Villin antibody IHC of human small intestine. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B2581 concentration 10 ug/ml.
