Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

VAV3 antibody was raised against kLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide corresponding to aa566-591 (NSGEQGTLKLPEKRTNGLRRTPKQVD) of human Vav3. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset (100%); Elephant, Dog, Rabbit, Horse (85%); Bat, Pig, Opossum (81%).
aa566-591
Recognizes Vav3, Mr ~98kD. Additional non-specific bands detected in long exposures at Mr ~38-40kD. A non-specific band at Mr ~95kD was detected in Jurkat lysates. Species cross-reactivity: Human.
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 0.2-2 ug/ml of this lot detected Vav3 in RIPA lysates from HeLa and Jurkat cells. Immunohistochemistry: Has been reported by an independent laboratory to detect Vav3 in pancreatic adenocarcinoma sections. Immunoprecipitation: Has been reported by an independent laboratory to immunoprecipitate Vav3 from Jurkat cell lysate and SU86.86 pancreatic tumor cell lysate. Immunocytochemistry: Has been reported by an independent laboratory to detect Vav3 in Jurkat and SU86.86 pancreatic tumor cells.

About VAV3

Q9UKW4 NM_006113 NP_006104.4

VAV3 Antibody, VAV-3 Antibody, Vav 3 oncogene Antibody

Exchange factor for GTP-binding proteins RhoA, RhoG and, to a lesser extent, Rac1. Binds physically to the nucleotide-free states of those GTPases. Plays an important role in angiogenesis. Its recruitment by phosphorylated EPHA2 is critical for EFNA1-induced RAC1 GTPase activation and vascular endothelial cell migration and assembly (By similarity). May be important for integrin-mediated signaling, at least in some cell types.
