  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

UMOD / Uromodulin is the most abundant protein in mammalian urine under physiological conditions. Its excretion in urine follows proteolytic cleavage of the ectodomain of its glycosyl phosphatidylinosital-anchored counterpart that is situated on the luminal cell surface of the loop of Henle. This protein may act as a constitutive inhibitor of calcium crystallization in renal fluids.

Uromodulin in Mouse Kidney. Uromodulin was detected in immersion fixed frozen sections of mouse kidney using Sheep Anti-Mouse Uromodulin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody at 10 ug/ml overnight at 4°C. Tissue was stained using NorthernLights 557-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to convoluted tubule epithelial cells.

Western blot

Western blot
Detection of Mouse Uromodulin by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of mouse kidney tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 ug/ml of Sheep Anti-Mouse Uromodulin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody. A specific band was detected for Uromodulin at approximately 115 kD (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.
