A 14 AA peptide sequence near the C-Terminus of mouse UCP2 (1) was used to generate anti- UCP2. The peptide was coupled with KLH (carrier protein).

Specificity
The 14 AA mouse immunogenic peptide sequences is 86% homologous with human UCP2 (12/14 AA). The UCP2 peptide has no significant homology with UCP1 or UCP3. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species is not established. Control peptides, because of their low MW (<3kD), are not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking to confirm antibody specificity.
