The Immunohistochemistry Antibody Company
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
UBE2A antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide which maps to a region between the N-terminus of human ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2A using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry P49459 (GeneID 7319).
Specific for human Rad6 protein. Other species not tested. Reactivity with human UBE2B and the Rad6 orthologs of mouse and Xenopus is expected based upon sequence identity between these orthologs and human Rad6 at the site to which the epitope maps.
Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C
For research use only.
UBE2A Antibody, HHR6A Antibody, HR6A Antibody, MRXSN Antibody, RAD6 homolog A Antibody, RAD6A Antibody, Ubiquitin carrier protein A Antibody, Ubiquitin-protein ligase A Antibody, MRXS30 Antibody, UBC2 AntibodyAccepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. In association with the E3 enzyme BRE1 (RNF20 and/or RNF40), it plays a role in transcription regulation by catalyzing the monoubiquitination of histone H2B at 'Lys-120' to form H2BK120ub1. H2BK120ub1 gives a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation, elongation by RNA polymerase II, telomeric silencing, and is also a prerequisite for H3K4me and H3K79me formation.
