Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

  • ELISA

Specificity and Use

UBC6 / UBE2J2 antibody was raised against this affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region of the human Ube2j2 protein.
Internal
A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Ube2j2 protein from human, horse, opossum, cattle, dog, mouse, rat, macaque, salmon, chicken, zebra finch, Xenopus and platypus based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, western blotting and immunoprecipitation. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 29 kD in size corresponding to Ube2j2 protein by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

Packaging

0.02 M potassium phosphate, 0.15 M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide, sterile filtered
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

About UBC6 / UBE2J2

Q8N2K1 NM_194315 NP_919296.1

UBE2J2 Antibody, NCUBE2 Antibody, Ubc6p Antibody, Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme 6 Antibody, NCUBE-2 Antibody, Yeast UBC6 homolog Antibody, PRO2121 Antibody, UBC6 Antibody

The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. This enzyme is located in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum.

Western blot

Western blot
Anti-Ube2j2 Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of affinity purified anti-Ube2j2 antibody shows detection of Ube2j2 in 293 cells over-expressing Myc-Ube2j2 (Lane 1). Lane 2 contains lysate from mock-transfected 293 cells. Personal Communication, A. Weissman & T. Shang, CCR-NCI, Frederick, MD.
