Specificity and Use
SK-MEL-23 melanoma cell line (human).
Recognizes human TRP-1,2 (tyrosinase-related protein-1,2). Detects a pigmentation-associated glycoprotein expressed by melanoma cells, normal melanocytes, and nevi. Does not detected in carcinomas or sarcomas. Species cross-reactivity: Human.
Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:25-1:50 (Biotin). Note: Fix frozen tissues and/or cytocentrifuge preparations in acetone at 4?C for 10 minutes. For optimal staining, the primary antibody should be incubated 30-60 minutes at RT. Positive control: Melanoma tissue.
