  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Tyrosinase antibody was raised against recombinant tyrosinase protein. Epitope: 1-433. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic.
Recognizes a cluster of proteins between 70-80kD, identified as tyrosinase. Occasionally a minor band at 55kD is also detected. Does not cross-react with MAGE-1 and tyrosinase-related protein 1, TRP-1/gp75. Species cross-reactivity: Human, canine and feline. Weak cross-reactivity with mouse.
Suitable for use in Immunocytology, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistology. Western Blot: 1-2 ug/ml for 2 hours at RT. Immunohistology: 2-4 ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT (formalin/paraffin). Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Positive control: Melanoma cell lines (SK-MEL-13, SK-MEL-19, SK-MEL-30, SK-MEL-37), melanocytes in skin and Melanomas (1).

PBS, pH 7.4. No preservatives or stabilizing proteins added.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C
For research use only.

This is a copper-containing oxidase that functions in the formation of pigments such as melanins and other polyphenolic compounds. Catalyzes the rate-limiting conversions of tyrosine to DOPA, DOPA to DOPA-quinone and possibly 5,6-dihydroxyindole to indole-5,6 quinone.
