TPX2

TPX2, microtubule-associated

Spindle assembly factor. Required for normal assembly of mitotic spindles. Required for normal assembly of microtubules during apoptosis. Required for chromatin and/or kinetochore dependent microtubule nucleation. Mediates AURKA localization to spindle microtubules. Activates AURKA by promoting its autophosphorylation at 'Thr-288' and protects this residue against dephosphorylation.

Gene Name: TPX2, microtubule-associated
Synonyms: TPX2, C20orf2, DIL-2, DIL2, HCA519, GD:C20orf1, p100, Protein fls353, Targeting protein for Xklp2, C20orf1, FLS353, HCTP4, REPP86
Target Sequences: NM_012112 NP_036244.2 Q9ULW0

TPX2 Antibody - Immunohistochemistry image at a dilution of 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human testis tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0) . Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4 °C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
