Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

  • IHC - Frozen (1:300 - 1:2000)
  • Western blot (1:300 - 1:2000)

Specificity and Use

TPC2 / TPCN2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from a cytoplasmic domain of mouse TPC2 (Two pore calcium channel protein 2) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein.
Cytoplasmic Domain
Specific for TPC2.
IHC: Antigen retrieval is essential for use on paraffin sections.

Packaging

Lyophilized. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material
100 µl Sterile water
Maintain lyophilized and reconstituted antibodies at -20 °C for long term storage and at 2-8 °C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
For research use only.

About TPC2 / TPCN2

Q8NHX9 AY029200 AAK31802.1

TPCN2 Antibody, TPC2 Antibody, Two pore segment channel 2 Antibody, SHEP10 Antibody

TPC2 / TPCN2 is a putative cation-selective ion channel with two repeats of a six-transmembrane-domain. The protein localizes to lysosomal membranes and enables nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP) -induced calcium ion release from lysosome-related stores. This ubiquitously expressed gene has elevated expression in liver and kidney. Two common nonsynonymous SNPs in this gene strongly associate with blond versus brown hair pigmentation.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
Rabbit antibody to mouse TPC2. IHC-P on paraffin sections of mouse brain. The animal was perfused using Autoperfuser at a pressure of 110 mm Hg with 300 ml 4% FA and further post fixed overnight before being processed for paraffin embedding. HIER: Tris-EDTA, pH 9 for 20 min using Thermo PT Module. Blocking: 0.2% LFDM in TBST filtered through a 0.2 micron filter. Detection was done using Novolink HRP polymer from Leica following manufacturers instructions. Primary antibody: dilution 1:1000, incubated 30 min at RT using Autostainer. Sections were counterstained with Harris Hematoxylin.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
Rabbit antibody to mouse TPC2. IHC-P on paraffin sections of mouse spinal cord.
