Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

  • ELISA (1:2500 - 1:10000)

Specificity and Use

TP53BP2 / ASPP2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence of human ASPP2.
Internal
human ASPP2. Minimal reactivity occurs against ASPP1. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with ASPP2 from macaque and dog sources based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Expect partial reactivity with ASPP2 from mouse and rat sources based on an 80% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologs from other sources is not known
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and western blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 125 kD in size corresponding to ASPP2 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

Packaging

About TP53BP2 / ASPP2

Q13625 NM_005426 NP_005417.1

TP53BP2 Antibody, 53BP2 Antibody, p53-binding protein 53bp2 Antibody, p53BP2 Antibody, PPP1R13A Antibody, ASPP2 Antibody, BBP Antibody, BCL2-binding protein Antibody, p53-binding protein 2 Antibody

Regulator that plays a central role in regulation of apoptosis and cell growth via its interactions. Regulates TP53 by enhancing the DNA binding and transactivation function of TP53 on the promoters of proapoptotic genes in vivo. Inhibits the ability of APPBP1 to conjugate NEDD8 to CUL1, and thereby decreases APPBP1 ability to induce apoptosis. Impedes cell cycle progression at G2/M. Its apoptosis-stimulating activity is inhibited by its interaction with DDX42.

Western blot

Western blot
Anti-ASPP2 Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of Protein A purified anti-ASPP2 to detect over-expressed ASPP2 in MCF-7 cells (Lane 2, arrowhead). Lane 1 is a nontransfected control. Lane 3 is MCF-7 cells over-expressing ASPP1. Cell extracts were electrophoresed and transferred to nitrocellulose. The membrane was probed with the primary antibody at a 1:1000 dilution. The identity of the lower MW band at approximately 40kD is unknown. Personal Communication, H. Yang, Univ. Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, OK.
