Synthetic peptide from human TNFRSF13B / TACI.
aa116-132 | |
A synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 116-132 of human TACI. Human and mouse TACI amino acid sequences are 65% conserved in the immunogen.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2094 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2094 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. |

TACI is one of three known receptors for BLys. Members in the TNF superfamily regulate immune responses and induce apoptosis. Two novel members in the TNF family were recently identified and designated BAFF/BLyS/TALL-1/THANK/zTNF4 and April/TALL-2, respectively. BAFF was characterized as a B cell activator since it induced B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin secretion. April regulates immunological and non-immunological cell growth.
