Specificity and Use
TLR4 antibody was raised against ba/F3 cell line expressing mouse TLR4 and MD-2.
Recognizes mouse TLR4 (Toll Like Receptor 4). Preferentially recognizes TLR4-MD-2 complex than of TLR4 alone.
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Flow Cytometry: 0.5-2 ug/1 x 1E6 Raw cells. preferentially recognizes TLR4-MD-2 complex than of TLR4 alone. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Cooperates with LY96 and CD14 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Acts via MYD88, TIRAP and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. Also involved in LPS-independent inflammatory responses triggered by free fatty acids, such as palmitate, and Ni2+. Responses triggered by Ni2+ require non-conserved histidines and are, therefore, species-specific.
