  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

TLR3 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to a 15 amino acid sequence located near human CD283 carboxy-terminus.
Recognizes human CD283, otherwise known as toll receptor 3, a 103.8 kD member of the evolutionarily conserved toll-like receptor family (TLRs), expressed at high levels in the placenta and pancreas and also expressed by dendritic cells. TLRs play an important role in the recognition of invading microbial pathogens during innate immunity, acting through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TRAF6. CD283 acts via a cytokine signaling pathway to induce the activation of NF-kappaB and type I interferons, and has been shown to recognize double-stranded viral RNA, including that of the Influenza A and West Nile virus. Has been shown as suitable for use in IHC on EL4 cytospins at 1 ug/ml.
Western Blot: LS-C42338 detects a band of approximately 103.8kD in human Daudi cell lysates.

About TLR3

O15455 NM_003265 NP_003256.1

TLR3 Antibody, CD283 Antibody, Toll-like receptor 3 Antibody, CD283 antigen Antibody, IIAE2 Antibody

TLR3 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity.
