THY1 / CD90 antibody was raised against rat Thy-1.
Recognizes rat CD90 (Thy-1). Directed against the Thy 1.1 antigenic determinant which is a monomorphic determinant within rat strains but polymorphic in the mouse (positive to AKR strain, negative to CVA and BALB/c). Present on a variety of cell types including thymocytes, neuronal cells, T-lymphocytes (mouse), stem cells and immature B cells (rat) and connective tissue.
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:100. Use 10 ul per 1E6 thymocytes. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections.

THY1 or CD90 is a 25–37 kDa heavily N-glycosylated, glycophosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchored conserved cell surface protein with a single V-like immunoglobulin domain, originally discovered as a thymocyte antigen. Thy-1 can be used as a marker for a variety of stem cells and for the axonal processes of mature neurons.
