  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

TGFBI antibody was raised against recombinant human TGFBI (502-636aa) purified from E. coli. NCBI Accession NO: NP_000349.
The antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:1000-1:2000.

PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C; Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

TGFBI is an RGD-containing protein that binds to type I, II and IV collagens. The RGD motif is found in many extracellular matrix proteins modulating cell adhesion and serves as a ligand recognition sequence for several integrins. This protein plays a role in cell-collagen interactions and may be involved in endochondrial bone formation in cartilage. The protein is induced by transforming growth factor-beta and acts to inhibit cell adhesion.

Cell lysates of HeLa, Jurkat, 293T and the extracts of mouse liver tissue(20 ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to NC membrane and probed with anti-human TGFBI (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system. Lane 1: HeLa; Lane 2: Jurkat; Lane 3:293T; Lane 4: Mouse liver.
