Specificity and Use
TACSTD1 / EPCAM antibody was raised against mCF-7 human breast carcinoma cell line.
Recognizes Epithelial Specific Antigen. Reacts with a transmembrane glycoprotein present on most normal and malignant epithelia. Mesothelial cells derived tumors are rarely positive. Species cross-reactivity: Human.
Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin): (Use Ab at 1:10 for 30 min at RT) Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues requires digestion of tissue sections with pepsin at 1 mg/ml Tris-HCl, pH 2.0 for 15 min at RT or 10 min at 37C). Positive control: Breast carcinoma.
