Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

  • Western blot (1:2000)
  • ELISA (1:4000 - 1:20000)

Specificity and Use

SUMO1 / SMT3 antibody was raised against recombinant human SUMO protein.
anti-Rabbit Serum
This purified polyclonal antibody reacts with human SUMO by western blot and ELISA. Although not tested, this antibody is likely functional in immunohistochemistry and immunoprecipitation. This antibody using the specified conditions may recognize other prominent intrinsic bands (UBLs or conjugates). Other intrinsic bands are readily detectable at lower dilutions. An 11.6 kD band corresponding to human SUMO is detected. Most human cell lysates can be used as a positive control without induction or stimulation.

Packaging

About SUMO1 / SMT3

P63165 NM_003352 NP_003343.1

SUMO1 Antibody, GAP modifying protein 1 Antibody, GMP1 Antibody, OFC10 Antibody, Sentrin Antibody, SMT3 homolog 3 Antibody, SMT3C Antibody, SMT3H3 Antibody, SUMO-1 Antibody, Ubiquitin-like protein UBL1 Antibody, PIC1 Antibody, Ubiquitin-like 1 (sentrin) Antibody, UBL1 Antibody, DAP1 Antibody, GAP-modifying protein 1 Antibody, Ubiquitin-like protein SMT3C Antibody

Ubiquitin-like protein that can be covalently attached to proteins as a monomer or a lysine-linked polymer. Covalent attachment via an isopeptide bond to its substrates requires prior activation by the E1 complex SAE1-SAE2 and linkage to the E2 enzyme UBE2I, and can be promoted by E3 ligases such as PIAS1-4, RANBP2 or CBX4.

Western blot

Western blot
Anti-SUMO Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of hSUMO fusion protein. Anti-SUMO antibody, generated by immunization with recombinant human SUMO, was tested by western blot against a SUMO-GFP fusion protein after cleavage by proteases. Dilution of the antibody between 1:1000 and 1:5000 showed strong reactivity specifically with the SUMO portion of the fusion protein (arrowhead). In this blot the antibody was used at a 1:2000 dilution incubated overnight at 4° C in 5% non-fat dry milk in TTBS. Detection occurred using a 1:2000 dilution of HRP-labeled Donkey anti-Rabbit IgG (code # LS-C60943) for 1 hour at room temperature. A chemiluminescence system was used for signal detection (Roche). Other detection systems will yield similar results. Data contributed by M. Malakhov, www. lifesensors. com, personal communication.
