SPN / CD43 antibody was raised against rat thymocyte membrane preparation.
Recognizes a monomorphic determinant expressed on rat thymocytes, T lymphocytes (but not B lymphocytes), plasma cells, polymorphs, stem cells and brain. The CD43 antigen is a heavily glycosylated glycoprotein of mw 95000 which has a high content of O-linked carbohydrate structures. On thymocytes this glycoprotein is the main target for binding of peanut lectin. This antibody is useful for distinguishing B and T lymphocytes and also for analysis of NK cells and stem cells.
Immunohistochemistry: frozen, paraffin. Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100.
PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% Sodium Azide
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
