Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Specificity and Use
SOD1 / Cu-Zn SOD antibody was raised against synthetic peptide (KLH conjugated) of human superoxide dismutase 1
Endogenous level of human superoxide dismutase 1. Sequence homology predicts that it will also react with mouse, rat, pig, horse, bovine, orangutan, chimpanzee, and fission yeast superoxide dismutase 1.
PBS, pH 7.4, 30% glycerol, 0.02% sodium azide.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
SOD1 / Cu-Zn SOD binds copper and zinc ions and is one of two isozymes responsible for destroying free superoxide radicals in the body. The encoded isozyme is a soluble cytoplasmic protein, acting as a homodimer to convert naturally-occuring but harmful superoxide radicals to molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide. The other isozyme is a mitochondrial protein. Mutations in this gene have been implicated as causes of familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Western blot of cell lysates using Superoxide Dismutase 1 Antibody, pAb, Rabbit (1 ug/ml). The signal was developed with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H&L) [HRP] Polyclonal Antibody. Predicted Size: 18 kD. Observed Size: 18 kD.
