  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

SOCS3 antibody was raised against full-length SOCS3 protein.
The cytokine signaling is known to be regulated by a negative feedback regulator called suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) inhibitors family. Members of the SOCS family have been identified due to their marked homology on the SH2 domain and a unique conserved motif referred to as the SOCS box. Expression of SOCS3 is transiently induced in a variety of immune and inflammatory situations by a wide variety of cytokines. SOCS3 is also involved in growth hormone function, leptin and insulin signaling. SOCS3 inhibits Janus kinase (JAK) tyrosine kinase activity
Western Blotting: Positive control - HeLa human cervix carcinoma cell line. Sample preparation: Resuspend approx. 50 mil. cells in 1 ml cold Lysis buffer (1% laurylmaltoside in 20 mM Tris/Cl, 100 mM NaCl pH 8.2, 50 mM NaF including Protease inhibitor Cock

PBS, 15 mM sodium azide, approx., pH 7.4.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

SOCS family proteins form part of a classical negative feedback system that regulates cytokine signal transduction. SOCS3 is involved in negative regulation of cytokines that signal through the JAK/STAT pathway. Inhibits cytokine signal transduction by binding to tyrosine kinase receptors including gp130, LIF, erythropoietin, insulin, IL12, GCSF and leptin receptors. Binding to JAK2 inhibits its kinase activity. Suppresses fetal liver erythropoiesis.
