Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Human, Monkey, Bat, Horse, Pig, Rabbit (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Mouse, Rat, Bovine (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity)
Protein G purified
Western blot (1:500 - 1:1000)
Specificity and Use
SOCS1 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 54-68 (HFRTFRSHADYRRIT) of human SOCS1, GenBank no. NP_003736.1. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Bat, Horse, Rabbit, Pig (100%); Mouse, Rat, Bovine (93%); Dog (87%); Opossum (80%).
This should cross-react with rat SOCS1, based on amino acid sequence.

SOCS family proteins form part of a classical negative feedback system that regulates cytokine signal transduction. SOCS1 is involved in negative regulation of cytokines that signal through the JAK/STAT3 pathway. Through binding to JAKs, inhibits their kinase activity. In vitro, also suppresses Tec protein-tyrosine activity. Appears to be a major regulator of signaling by interleukin 6 (IL6) and leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF).
