An 18 aa peptide sequence near the NH2-terminus of rat brain dopamine transporter. This region is presumably from the cytoplasmic domain. A cysteine was added at the NH2 terminus for coupling to KLH.

Specificity
The selected peptide sequence is 100% identical in mouse, 77% homologous with bovine, monkey and 72% in human DAT sequences. Strongly reacts with mouse and rat and weakly with human and canine.

Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:500-1:2500 using ECL. ELISA: 1:50K (Coat plates with 50-100 ng DAT control peptide/well).
