A 12 AA peptide sequence near the C-Terminus of mouse/rat brain glucose transporter-1 (Glut-1). A cysteine has been added at the NH2 terminus for coupling to KLH.

Specificity
Detects Glut-1. No significant sequence homology with other Glut proteins. The Species cross-reactivity: 100% conserved in human, mouse, rat, rabbit, bovine and porcine and 90% conserved in chicken (9/12 aa).

- Western blot (1:1000 - 1:5000)
- ELISA (1:10000 - 1:50000)
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000. Detects a major band ~42-45kD using Glut-1 positive control from purified rat brain membranes. Not recommended to heat the samples prior to loading to prevent Glut protein aggregation. ELISA: 1:10000-1:50000. Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1 ug/ml.
