Specificity
Recognizes mouse Glut-1. No significant sequence homology with other Glut proteins. Species sequence homology: human, rat, rabbit, bovine and porcine (100%); chicken (90%).
Applications
- Western blot (1 - 10 µg/ml)
- ELISA (0.5 - 1 µg/ml)
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1-10 ug/ml (ECL). Detects a major band ~42-45kD using Glut-1 positive control from purified rat brain membranes. Not recommended to heat the samples prior to loading to prevent Glut protein aggregation. ELISA: 0.5-1 ug/ml. Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1 ug/ml.
