A 21AA synthetic peptide near the cytoplasmic, C-Terminus of human EAAT5 (1) was synthesized, conjugated to KLH.

Specificity
The human peptide is 71% conserved in salamander. EAAT5 from other species in not yet cloned. Has no significant sequence homology to other glutamate transporters. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species is not established.

- ELISA (1:10000 - 1:50000)
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 for neat serum and 1-10 ug/ml for affinity pure IgG using Chemiluminescence technique. ELISA: 1:10000-1:50000 for neat serum and 0.5-1 ug/ml for affinity pure. Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1 ug/ml.
