Human SLC1A7 / EAAT5
(tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Monkey (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity)
- Peptide Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (1:16000)
SLC1A7 / EAAT5 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide SLNHCTIQISELETN from the C-terminus of human SLC1A7 (NP_006662.3). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla (100%); Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey (93%); Galago, Marmoset, Mouse, Hamster, Elephant, Bovine, Horse, Guinea pig (87%); Rat, Panda, Dog, Porcine (80%).

Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C154951. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 75kD band in Human Heart, Liver and Skeletal Muscle lysates after 0.1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 60.7kD according to NP_006662.3. The 75kD band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
