  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

SKIL / SNO / SnoN antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from human SKIL.
A portion of amino acids 600-684 of human snoN protein was used as the immunogen.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2062 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2062 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.

PBS, 0.05% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

SKIL / SNO / SnoN is a component of the SMAD pathway, which regulates cell growth and differentiation through transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB). In the absence of ligand, the encoded protein binds to the promoter region of TGFB-responsive genes and recruits a nuclear repressor complex. TGFB signaling causes SMAD3 to enter the nucleus and degrade this protein, allowing these genes to be activated. Four transcript variants encoding three different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Anti-SKIL antibody IHC of human lung, respiratory epithelium. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B2062 concentration 5 ug/ml.

Western blot

Western blot
Western blot of SnoN in human kidney cell lysate in the A) absence and B) presence of immunizing peptide, C) mouse kidney, and D) rat kidney cell lysate, using antibody at 1 ug/ml.
