  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

SIGLEC6 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide C-KWMKYGYTSSK from an internal region of human SIGLEC6 (NP_001236.4; NP_942142.3; NP_942143.3). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla (100%); Gibbon (82%).
LS-E27438 - Lyophilized - 100 µg - $145.00
Immunizing peptide used to generate LS-C139616. Useful for pre-absorption and neutralization of the antibody's antigen binding site.
Human SIGLEC6. This antibody is expected to recognize all reported isoforms (NP_001236.4; NP_942142.3; NP_942143.3).
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16000. Western blot: Experiments gave bands at approx 60kD and 35kD in Human Placenta lysates. These bands correspond to earlier findings with different antibodies from other commercial sources. This protein has a calculated MW of 49.9kD according to NP_001236.4. Recommended concentration: 0.5-1.5 ug/ml.

Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide

Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Binds to alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface.

Western blot

SIGLEC6 antibody (0.5 ug/ml) staining of Human Placenta lysate (35 ug protein/ml in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.
