  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

SERPINB9 / PI9 antibody was raised against full length recombinant SERPINB9 produced in E. coli.
Recognizes human SERPINB9.
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Not suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Western Blot: Detects native SERPINB9 at 4~2kD as well as SERPINB9 complexed to granzyme B at ~67kD. As a positive control for SERPINB9, YT-Indy cells (a natural killer leukemia cell line) can be used. In other cell lines a non-specific protein band of ~63kD can be detected. Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 Can be used on formaldehyde-fixed paraffin-embedded human tissues after pretreatment with 10 mM citric acid pH 6.0 for 20 min. Immunocytochemistry: Fix cells for 10 min in 10% formalin and then treat them as paraffin sections.

0.7% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months
For research use only.

SERPINB9 / PI9 is a member of the serine protease inhibitor family which are also known as serpins. The encoded protein belongs to a subfamily of intracellular serpins. This protein inhibits the activity of the effector molecule granzyme B. Overexpression of this protein may prevent cytotoxic T-lymphocytes from eliminating certain tumor cells. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 6.
