Recognizes human SERPINB13 protein, a gene product that is expressed in normal oral mucosa, skin, and cultured keratinocytes. It is underexpressed in oral squamous cell carcinomas. Members of the human serpin family regulate a diverse array of serine and cysteine proteinases associated with fibrinolysis, coagulation, inflammation, cell mobility, cellular differentiation, and apoptosis. Most serpins are secreted and found in blood and extracellular fluids. A subset of the serpin family, the ov-serpins, are intracellular as well.
Western Blot: A band of approximately 44 kD is detected.
