Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
Rat, Human, Mouse, Bat, Bovine, Dog, Hamster (tested or 100% immunogen sequence identity)
Monkey, Horse, Pig, Rabbit (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity)
Western blot (2 µg/ml)
Specificity and Use
SCAMP5 antibody was raised against synthetic Peptide: CN(217)QPQTQYSATPNYTYSN(233). Immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 217-233 from rat SCAMP 5. This sequence is 94% conserved in mouse. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey, Mouse, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Dog, Bat, Bovine (100%); Marmoset, Rat, Rabbit, Horse, Pig (94%); Opossum (81%).
Recognizes rat SCAMP5. Expected to cross-react with mouse due to sequence homology.
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Western Blot: 2 ug/ml; Detects an ~25kD protein representing SCAMP 5 from rat brain extract.
PBS, 1 mg/ml BSA, 0.05% sodium azide.
Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C
Required for the calcium-dependent exocytosis of signal sequence-containing cytokines such as CCL5. Probably acts in cooperation with the SNARE machinery. May play a role in accumulation of expanded polyglutamine (polyQ) protein huntingtin (HTT) in case of endoplasmic reticulum stress by inhibiting the endocytosis pathway.
