Specificity and Use
Spleen and lymph node cells from F344 rats.
Recognizes rat T-cell ecto-ADP-ribosyltransferase 2, also known as Alloantigen Rt6.2, RT6.2, ADP-ribosyltransferase C2 and C3 toxin-like 2, ARTC2, Mono(ADP-ribosyl) transferase 2B or T-cell surface protein Rt6.2. RT6.2 is a 275 amino acid GPI anchored cell membrane protein belonging to the family. RT6.2 has an N-terminal 20 amino acid signal peptide sequence and 29 amino acid C-terminal propeptide region removed in the mature form. Rt6 is expressed exclusively by post-thymic T cells with RT6.2 alloantigen being expressed by RT6B rat strains including BH.6B, BS,6B, LEW.6b and F334.6B. Defects in the RT6 gene expression correlate with increased susceptibility for insulin dependent diabetes and other autoimmune diseases. Does not recognize the RT6.1 alloantigen expressed by post-thymic T-cells of RT6A rat strains including BUF, LEW and PVG. The RT6.1 alloantigen is recognized by the Rat anti Rat RT6.1 antibody, clone.
Flow Cytometry: Use 50 ul of the suggested working dilution to label 5 x 10^5 cells in 100 ul. Method sheets are available on request.
