  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

RFC3 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to a region with human RFC3.
Recognizes human Replication factor C subunit 3, also known as RFC3, Activator 1 38 kD subunit, Replication factor C 38 kD subunit or RFC38. RFC3 is a 356 amino acid ~38 kD DNA binding protein found in several protein complexes critical for DNA replication and repair. Replication factor C (RFC) is a heteropentameric complex consisting of one large subunit, RFC1, and four small subunits, RFC2, RFC3, RFC4 and RFC5. This complex is required for efficient loading of PCNA onto DNA templates during processive DNA synthesis. A second RFC-related related complex is formed from interactions between Rad24, RFC2, RFC3, RFC4 and RFC5. This complex serves to load the heterotrimeric DNA damage checkpoint clamp (consisting of Rad17, Mec3, and Ddc1) onto partial duplex DNA in an ATP-dependent manner. The DNA damage checkpoint response arrests cells at appropriate points in the cell cycle to allow recovery of the integrity of the DNA before re-entering the cell cycle.

About RFC3

P40938 NM_002915 NP_002906.1

RFC3 Antibody, Activator 1 38 kDa subunit Antibody, A1 38 kDa subunit Antibody, Activator 1 subunit 3 Antibody, Replication factor C subunit 3 Antibody, RF-C 38 kDa subunit Antibody, RFC, 38 kD subunit Antibody, RFC38 Antibody

The elongation of primed DNA templates by DNA polymerase delta and DNA polymerase epsilon requires the accessory proteins proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and replication factor C (RFC). RFC, also named activator 1, is a protein complex consisting of five distinct subunits of 140, 40, 38, 37, and 36 kDa. This gene encodes the 38 kDa subunit. This subunit is essential for the interaction between the 140 kDa subunit and the core complex that consists of the 36, 37, and 40 kDa subunits.
