Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

RAB11A antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to aa1-17, MGTRDDEYDYLFKVVLIC, from human Rab11. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Goat, Hamster, Elephant, Bat, Dog, Bovine, Horse, Rabbit, Pig, Opossum, Chicken, Xenopus, Catfish, Salmon, Pufferfish, Zebrafish, Mosquito, Ant, Water flea (100%); Seq squirt, Eye worm, Sea anemone, Nematode (94%).
aa1-17
Recognizes human Rab11a protein at ~25kD. Species cross-reactivity: primate. Species sequence homology: mouse and rat: 100%, C. elegans and amphibians: 94%. Cellular Localization: located on cytoplasmic face of organelles and vesicles.
Suitable for use in Western blot: 5 ug/ml. Detects a ~22kD protein representing Rab 11 in CV1, PC3, and HeLa cell. extract. Another less prominent, unknown band is also detected by this antibody at ~35kD.

About RAB11A

RAB11A Antibody, Rab-11 Antibody, RAB11 Antibody, Ras-related protein Rab-11A Antibody, YL8 Antibody

The small GTPases Rab are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different set of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion. That Rab regulates endocytic recycling. Acts as a major regulator of membrane delivery during cytokinesis.
