Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

QKI antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide mapping to a region between residues 50 and 100 of isoform 5 of human quaking homolog using the numbering given in entry AAH19917.1 (GeneID 9444). The epitope is common to isoforms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 7B according to TrEMBL entries Q9P0Y1, Q9P0Y0, Q9P0X6, Q9P0X8, Q96PU8, Q96PU7, Q969L9 and Q96PU6, respectively.
aa50-100
Species cross-reactivity: Human. Other species have not been tested. Reactivity with murine and xenopus QKI isoforms is expected based on sequence homology.
Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Packaging

QKI Antibody, HqkI Antibody, HKQ Antibody, Protein quaking Antibody, QK3 Antibody, RNA binding protein HQK Antibody, Hqk Antibody, QK Antibody, QK1 Antibody

RNA-binding protein that plays a central role in myelinization. Binds to the 5'-NACUAAY-N(1,20)-UAAY-3' RNA core sequence. Acts by regulating pre-mRNA splicing, mRNA export, mRNA stability and protein translation. Required to protect and promote stability of mRNAs such as MBP and CDKN1B. Regulator of oligodendrocyte differentiation and maturation in the brain that may play a role in myelin and oligodendrocyte dysfunction in schizophrenia.
